It takes a lot of time to finish a post, if only I could write as fast as some other people. Do you run the movie and pause it to take down votes before resuming or just take mental notes and finally synthesize it. Whatever your approach is, the outcome is always detailed and very rich. The last twenty minutes were so heartbreaking and poignant, beautiful and devastating. My wife cried her eyes out and I did everything I could to hold back my tears. I was also surprised at the amount of tender, laugh out loud funny moments and how well they worked. It was an interesting contrast between the humour, eruption of family turmoil, and melancholy. It worked so very well and felt so very much like real life. Each character was flawed, however, they could all be empathized with. I have no doubt that this will be on my 'best of the year' list in December, most probably in the top five. Thank you for your insights, as usual, you notice little aspects of films that one could easily overlook.
